Neil Taylor was on target in Wales’ 3-0 victory over Russia at Euro 2016 on this day two years ago.

Taylor was one of two players who were then on Swansea City's books in action - the other was captain Ashley Williams - as the Dragons booked their place in the knockout stages.

Former Swans Ben Davies and Joe Allen also started in Toulouse, while future loanee Andy King made an appearance from the bench.

Chris Coleman’s Wales needed to beat Russia to guarantee their progress to the round of 16 in France, and made the perfect start when Aaron Ramsey opened the scoring after just 11 minutes.

Taylor was on hand to make it 2-0 with his first international goal just nine minutes later. The left-back was unmarked at the far post and, although his initial effort was blocked, he made no mistake at the second attempt.

The irrepressible Gareth Bale added a third in the second half and, following England’s 0-0 draw with Slovakia, Wales topped Group B with six points from three games.
