Yan Dhanda is counting down the days until Swansea City return to action against Nottingham Forest.

The Swans had the weekend off as a result of the international break, but the build-up to Saturday’s clash with Forest is now gathering speed.

Graham Potter’s men remain buoyant following that thrilling comeback triumph at Millwall last time out.

And Dhanda says they cannot wait to step out at the Liberty this weekend.

“Everyone is looking forward to the next game,” the attacking midfielder said.

“The win against Millwall was unbelievable and everyone is feeling positive. We are pleased with the start we have made and we are playing with confidence.

“It will be good to be back at the Liberty on Saturday, although we are all aware it will be another tough game.

“We know we will have to be at our best if we are going to result.”

While a number of players have been an international duty, those players not involved with their countries kept themselves ticking over with a behind-closed-doors friendly at Cardiff last Friday.

Dhanda was on target in a 2-0 Swans victory, and the former Liverpool youngster is hopeful that the first league start of his senior career is not far away.

The 19-year-old also scored in his one Championship appearance at date, at Sheffield United on the opening day, while he impressed having been given a starting chance in the Carabao Cup loss to Crystal Palace.

“I hope I can get some more minutes in the Championship,” Dhanda added.

“It was great to be a part of the win against Sheffield United and I loved playing in the cup.

“I am fit and ready and I know the gaffer will pick me when the time is right. I can’t wait to get back out there and play in front of the fans.”
