Federico Fernandez: We must improve against Everton

17th September

Federico Fernandez expects the Swans to raise the bar against Everton after seeing their standards slip last weekend.
Garry Monk's side went down to a 1-0 defeat at newly-promoted Watford last Saturday, with the Swans' unbeaten run ended at Vicarage Road.
Now the Swans prepare for a home test against Roberto Martinez's Everton, with the Toffees buoyed by a fine 3-1 win over Chelsea last time out.
And Fernandez revealed the squad's determination to move on from last weekend's defeat by returning to winning ways at the Liberty.

"Last weekend was disappointing," said the Argentinian centre-back. "We have worked hard in training to make sure we put in a better performance on Saturday.
"The focus is on Everton and we are expecting a really tough game against them. I also expect a higher level of performance from ourselves with much more intensity.
"We had great support at Watford but we didn't get the result they wanted to see, and now we have an opportunity at home to make up for that."
