Swansea City have Freddie Woodman and Yan Dhanda back from illness and available for Saturday’s meeting with Huddersfield Town.

The pair were forced to sit out the win over Millwall having come down with a stomach bug in the build-up.

However, both have returned to training over the international break and are fit and in contention for selection against the Terriers.

George Byers, meanwhile, has also returned to training following his groin injury, but will need time to build up his fitness having been sidelined throughout the season to date.

“Freddie and Yan were off sick and missed the last game, but they are back in,” said head coach Steve Cooper.

“They did have a bad illness, which they might have picked up off each other, which knocked them for six and did leave them needing some time off.

“But they have trained all through the international break and are as good as new and available.

“George came back in yesterday to full training, and it’s great to have him back. He has been out a while, and missed pre-season, so it is going to take him a while to get up to speed.

“He won’t be available for the next three games as they come thick and fast. But he is out there with us.”

Cooper was also waiting to assess his international contingent as they returned to the club following the conclusion of the break with Wednesday’s fixtures, but reported no injury concerns among those players.
