Jay Fulton has signed a new contract with Swansea City which will keep him at the Liberty Stadium until the summer of 2021.

Fulton’s previous deal was due to expire in 2020, but both player and club were keen to secure his future for another year.

The new agreement will see Fulton take his Swans service to seven years, with the Scottish midfielder having joined from Falkirk in January 2014.

The 24-year-old has made 12 appearances – scoring twice – so far this season, with Graham Potter seeing Fulton as an important member of his midfield.

In total, Fulton has played 37 times for the Swans since swapping Scotland for South Wales.

He has also spent time on loan at Oldham and Wigan, who he helped to the League One title last season.

Full reaction to follow.
