Daniel James conceded the Jack Army deserved better after Swansea City's heavy defeat to Norwich.

The Swans were on the end of a 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Championship leaders with James’ goal offering a slender lifeline before half-time.

But Graham Potter's team could not build on the Welshman’s strike with Finnish international Teemu Pukki firing past Erwin Mulder to deliver the killer blow in the second half.

“We’ve obviously been left disappointed with the result,” James admitted.

“We want to apologise to the fans for the result, but we can’t dwell on it too much. We must reflect and move on and get a reaction in our next two games.

“Mistakes will always happen. We started well but when the goal went in it changed our mindset a bit and we were always chasing the game from there.

“Our goal changed things a little and we came out well in the second half, but we couldn’t capitalise on that.

“It is always disappointing to lose but we have to move on quickly and prepare for another tough test on Wednesday against West Brom.”
