Coach Jarred Harvey felt Swansea City Under-18s deserved more from their performance following defeat to Cardiff City in their final home game of the Professional Development League season.

Second-half goals from Cody Twose and Lennon Talbot saw the Bluebirds emerge victorious in the age-grade south Wales derby.

The Swans had their chances, with Sammy Henia-Kamau and Josh Pescatore going closest, but it wasn’t to be for the hosts.

The young Swans will now face Wigan away from home in their final game of the campaign this Saturday, May 11 (11am).

"I don't think the scoreline is a true reflection of the game. We were good in the first half, the intensity of the game was really high," said Harvey.

"We created a lot of chances, but they didn't come off. However, the boys didn't stop pushing to get that goal.

"In the second half, we had some under-15s and under-16s play, and they were brilliant.

"They scored two quick goals which just knocked our momentum but, as I said, the boys kept pushing.

"On a positive, (goalkeeper) Sam Seager had his first 90 minutes under his belt after not playing for nearly a year-and-a-half. His character and distribution were great, and it was great to see him back."
