Swans midfielder Jay Fulton made his 150th appearance for Swansea City against Bristol City on Friday night.

The Scot joined fellow Swans' Matt Grimes and Connor Roberts in reaching the milestone during this calendar year.

The midfielder will be hoping there are more such landmarks to come having signed a contract extension through to June 2024 earlier this year; a deal that will see him bring up a decade of service in Swansea colours.

Prior to Friday the 27-year-old has made 149 appearances since arriving from Falkirk in January 2014, scoring eight goals, having also had loan spells with Oldham and Wigan.

Fulton joined Swansea City as a 20-year-old. He had shown his potential in the Scottish Championship, having made over 100 senior appearances and helped Falkirk to two semi-finals in domestic cup competitions.

The Scot made his first Premier League appearance as a substitute in the 4-1 win over Aston Villa back in April 2014, before making his maiden start in the final game of the season away at Sunderland.

He clocked up 19 appearances over the next couple of the seasons, while also featuring six times during a loan spell with Wigan Athletic in the second half of the latter term, which included helping the Latics cause a huge upset by dumping Pep Guardiola's Manchester City out of the FA Cup.

Upon his return to South Wales, Fulton racked up 38 games during the 2018-19 campaign under Graham Potter.

The Scot played 39 times the following season - making his 100th appearance along the way - scoring three goals.

Fulton continued to be a pivotal figure in the Swans' starting XI throughout the 2020-21 season, making 47 appearances and scoring three times to help the Swans to the play-off final.
