Jay set for comeback

Jay Fulton is poised to hand Graham Potter a selection boost by returning to full training.

The midfielder missed Swansea City’s victory over Millwall last weekend after having surgery on a broken bone in his hand.

Fulton suffered the injury during the home defeat to Bristol City, and was forced to sit out the trip to The Den – as well as the Carabao Cup tie against Crystal Palace – despite playing on against the Robins.

But having done some non-contact work last week, the Scot is poised to rejoin Potter’s squad tomorrow as they step up preparations for next Saturday’s home clash with Nottingham Forest.

Fulton has started the season well, racking up five appearances and scoring his first league goal for the Swans to give his team victory over Preston.

His probable return to the fold for the Forest clash will be welcome given that the Swans have fitness concerns over fellow midfielder Leroy Fer, who picked up a groin problem at Millwall.
