Joe Rodon has been added to the Wales squad for their games against Spain and Republic of Ireland in the upcoming international break.

The Swansea City defender was originally named in Wales’s under-21 squad for their matches against Romania and Switzerland.

But Rodon has now been promoted to the senior squad by boss Ryan Giggs as a replacement for Paul Dummett.

Rodon trained with Wales during Chris Coleman’s reign, and was part of a training camp under Giggs in May.

He joins Swans colleagues Connor Roberts and Declan John in the squad for the friendly against Spain at the Principality Stadium on October 11 and the Nations League trip to the Republic of Ireland six days later.
