Jonjo Shelvey signs new Swansea City contract

8th July

England international Jonjo Shelvey has tied down his future to Swansea City by signing a new four-year contract.
The midfielder had two years left on his original deal but has penned fresh terms that will see him remain at the Liberty until the summer of June 2019.
The 23-year-old made 35 appearances - scoring three goals - in all competitions last season as the Swans crowned a record-breaking season by finishing eighth in the Barclays Premier League with 56 points.
Shelvey has made 77 appearances and scored nine goals for the Swans since arriving from Liverpool for a £5million in 2013.
