Jordan Ayew scored his first goals for Crystal Palace as the Eagles saw off Wolves in the Premier League and Grimsby in the FA Cup.

The Ghanaian made a brief substitute appearance in the shock 3-2 win over Manchester City in December before putting in a man-of-the-match performance in their 2-0 victory over Wolves, in which he scored the first of Palace's two late goals.

And, having been brought on from the bench against Grimsby, he netted a late winner against the League Two side as the Selhurst Park outfit reached the fourth round of the cup.

Elder brother Andre returned to action with a goal in mid-December following a short lay-off with a fractured finger, helping Fenerbahce earn a 2-2 draw with Erzurum BB in the Turkish League.

He also featured for 90 minutes in a 5-2 thrashing of Giresunspor in the Turkish Cup and a 0-0 stalemate with Antalyaspor on Christmas Eve.

Meanwhile, Borja Baston picked up a crucial assist in Alaves’ 1-0 win over Real Sociedad before Christmas, and then scored the equaliser as the Spanish side came back from behind to beat Valencia 2-1 on Saturday.

Aaron Lewis has joined Doncaster Rovers on loan until the end of the season and the full-back was an unused substitute as the League One side pulled off an upset by beating Championship Preston 3-1 in their FA Cup third-round tie.

Meanwhile, Keston Davies and Ben Cabango have returned to Swansea from loan spells at Notts County and TNS respectively.
