Monk: Only our best will do against United

28th August

Garry Monk believes Swansea City will have to produce their best performance of the season so far when they face Manchester United on Sunday (4pm).
The Swans return to the Liberty Stadium following last weekend's 1-1 draw at Sunderland - a result that maintained the visitors' unbeaten start to the campaign.
Attention now switches to the visit of United, who have started the season with two wins and a draw and are yet to concede in the Premier League.
The Swans created history last season by doing a league double over Louis van Gaal's side, while the United boss added the likes of Morgan Schneiderlin, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Memphis Depay to his squad over the summer.
And Monk insists that his side must be at their very best in order to achieve the right result on Sunday.

"It's always very difficult when you face the big clubs," he said. "They (United) have added a lot of quality and depth to their squad and have world-class players.
"We are the underdogs, but we're at home and we want to put on a performance in front of our own fans.
"There is plenty of motivation for the players after our two wins last season and we'll use that going into this game.
"But we believe in ourselves, we have our own way of working and that will be no different this weekend. We will probably have to produce our best performance of the season so far to come away with the result."
Meanwhile, Monk praised his players for the way in which they have started the season - with five points from three games resembling a decent return.
"We've had good performances in all the games so far," he said. "The group is working well, we are fully fit and there's a lot of competition in the squad.
"Expectations are probably higher than they have ever been before, but that is for us to deal with. We want to improve each year and that's what we are looking to do this season."
