No new injury concerns as Ogbeta takes full part in training ahead of Coventry clash
Russell Martin expects to have the same squad available for Saturday’s game against Coventry City, and revealed January signing Nathanael Ogbeta has joined full training with his team-mates.
The Swans boss was able to restore Kyle Naughton and Hannes Wolf to his starting line-up for the win at West Brom on Monday, and there are no new injury problems to report on the back of victory at The Hawthorns.
Ogbeta, who joined from Shrewsbury on deadline day, is set to be absent against the Sky Blues but his recovery from a hamstring injury is progressing well.
And he was out on the grass with the rest of the first-team squad at the Swans Fairwood base on Thursday, as he nears a debut for his new club.
“I think we will be the same as Monday in terms of availability, everyone from that game at West Brom is available and fit and trained today,” said the Swansea head coach.
“Our injury record has been pretty good, there’s been a few niggles which you would expect, but overall it has been good.
"We had Kyle back and he is very important for us, not just defensively, but in terms of how calm he is on the ball.
“Nathanael is getting closer, he was out on the grass today with the rest of the lads, but we need to build him up as it’s a new level of football for him in new surroundings.
“So we will not rush him, but we hope he will be with us in the next couple of weeks.”
