Graham Potter can’t wait to get pre-season training started as the Swans squad officially reports back on Monday.

The new Swans boss will meet his players at the start of the week as the club’s preparations for the 2018-19 Championship campaign get under way.

Since being named as Swans manager earlier this month, Potter has brought assistant manager Billy Reid, assistant coach Bjorn Hamberg and head of recruitment Kyle Macaulay with him from former club Ostersund.

Alan Curtis has also been brought into his backroom team as assistant coach while Adrian Tucker has returned to the club as goalkeeping coach.

Potter will now assess his playing squad as they gather at Fairwood Training Ground on Monday.

“I am really looking forward to seeing everyone,” said Potter.

“I want to watch them train and get a sense of where everyone is at and then we can make the right decisions for the club.

“This week has been a chance for me to meet all the staff.

“I have spoken to them individually to know more about them, while I presented to them the way going forward through the pre-season period.

“Pre-season was already in place but I wanted to gather their thoughts and feedback too before it’s set in stone."

He added: “It was also important for me to meet the media recently, along with the staff here at Fairwood and everyone behind the scenes.

“It’s been really enjoyable, but now I’m looking forward to getting down to the nitty gritty.”
