Graham Potter says the Swans are working hard to strengthen their squad – but insists the club won’t rush into making new signings.

The Swans have signed defender Jordi Govea and Yan Dhanda on free transfers after they left Real Madrid and Liverpool respectively, but are yet to make a first senior signing since Potter’s arrival from Ostersund this summer.

But the Swans boss is adamant the club won’t be rushed as they look to inject fresh blood into his squad.

“There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes,” said Potter.

“It’s important that we are responsible in our decision-making.

“We must take as much information in as we can, and then we will look to get the right people in at the right time.

“It would be great to get things done sooner rather than later, but we must make sure the moves are right for this club.”

With media speculation hinting a number of players could be exiting the Liberty soon, Potter added: “In terms of players leaving the club, there is a lot of speculation out there so it would be unfair to add to it.

“What I will say is that the players have been first class in terms of their professionalism and effort.

“The response I have had from them is very pleasing.”
