Swansea City are on the road for the final time this season with a trip to Norfolk to face Norwich City at Carrow Road this afternoon (3pm).

Vitor Matos' side will look to make it three straight away wins with recent victories over Leicester City and Queens Park Rangers.

Norwich are still within reach of a play-off spot, needing to win their next two fixtures and hope results elsewhere go their way.

The Canaries have won three out of their last five Championship outings. They claimed a 2-1 victory over Derby County on home turf in midweek.

But Sam Parker will be missing after the teenager suffered a hamstring injury in the midweek win at Queens Park Rangers.

Zeidane Inoussa and Ethan Galbraith are missing for the Swans, as is Ishe Samuels-Smith.

Pre-match views

Vitor Matos: “It is not possible to have everything built straight away, you have to take it step by step, working through any problems, understanding the priorities while trying to be as competitive as possible against all opposition.

“The players bought into that brilliantly, I think their character and mentality is probably the main reason we are in this position now.

“They are feeling the love to play alongside each other, to play for this club, and they love it here. Then, of course, we want to continue to improve the quality of the game, to be dominant with the ball, to be an offensive team and getting the counter-press right, which is massive for us.

“It’s about a balance because we want to find a way to play with speed, but not to rush moments in the game, and it’s tough to find this balance with how many games there are.

“We are not done yet, and there are still two games to go and our concern firstly has to be on putting in a really good performance on Saturday because Norwich are a very good team, and we are playing very soon after another tough away game.

“We want to show consistency in our behaviours and in our performance, because that is a sign of maturity and that’s what we want on Saturday and for the last game against Charlton.”

Philippe Clement: “It’s two teams who like the ball. Two teams who like to attack. Two teams who are good at pressing. If I was neutral, I'd probably pick this game to watch.

“It's not only Vipotnik who is scoring goals and he is very versatile. He can combine and has made a strong impression in every game that I've seen him play.

“But I never believe on focusing on one player. In the past, I played with Monaco against PSG with Messi, Mbappe and Neymar. I could have killed my team by showing them clips of them. We won the game and it shows you have to focus on yourself.”

Meet the officials

Thomas Parsons

Thomas Parsons will be the man in the middle on Saturday as Swansea City face Norwich City at Carrow Road this afternoon.

This will be the first time Parsons has had the whistle for a Swansea City fixture, have been the fourth official for fixtures against Hull City and Norwich (H) earlier in the campaign.

Parsons has a wealth of experience officiating across League One and Two, having only made his Championship debut last week for a 1-1 draw between Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton Athletic.

This season he has overseen 33 games in all competitions, handing out 105 yellow cards and five red cards.

He will be assisted by David Harrison and Matthew McGrath. Ben Toner will be the fourth official.

Franco v Norwich

Norwich City 5 Swansea City 1

Swansea City conceded three goals in the final 15 minutes to suffer a heavy defeat against Norwich City on their last visit to Carrow Road.

The contest had been an even one for much of the afternoon, although the Swans had trailed at the break to a Josh Sargent strike on the stroke of half-time.

They went on to deservedly level through Liam Cullen’s 10th goal of the season, but parity lasted a matter of seconds before Sargent lashed home his second to restore Norwich’s lead.

Lewis Dobbin would extend the home side's advantage with 14 minutes to go as Swansea’s tough run of results on the road continued.

And goals from Ante Crnac and Emiliano Marcondes compounded the visitors' misery in the final stages.

Swansea City: Lawrence Vigouroux, Josh Key, Ben Cabango, Hannes Delcroix, Josh Tymon; Matt Grimes (captain), Gonçalo Franco (Jay Fulton 85), Liam Cullen (Jisung Eom 75); Ronald (Josh Ginnelly 85), Myles Peart-Harris (Sam Parker 68), Florian Bianchini (Žan Vipotnik 68)
