Swansea City will go in search of their first away win under head coach Vitor Matos as they travel to take on Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday afternoon (12.30pm).

The Swans go into the fixture with back-to-back home wins under their belt following victories over Oxford United and Portsmouth at the Swansea.com Stadium.

The Potters, meanwhile, have lost their last three consecutive outings, most recently a narrow defeat to Ipswich Town.

Pre-match views

Vitor Matos: "The mood has been good.

“Of course winning is always good, and it creates a good spirit among the team, but we know that we need to improve.

“We need to keep taking steps and that's it. We are in the moment where we have won two games in a row but that doesn't mean nothing for the future. It does not guarantee anything.”

Mark Robins: "After the start we've made this is a patch where you knew it could come but you hope it didn't and you can keep picking up the points and we haven't done that.

"But we're in a good position to attack that top six - this is the lowest we've been this season and it doesn't feel good.

"It feels much much better when you're in that top two."

Meet the officials

Ruebyn Ricardo

Ruebyn Ricardo will be the man in the middle when Swansea City face Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.

Ricardo started refereeing in 2013 when he broke his wrist in school and his PE teacher suggested that he referee some of the school football matches.

Progressing through PGMO’s Development Group, Ricardo made his Championship debut during the 2024/25 season, where he was also the first referee of Black heritage to officiate the FA Vase final.

This will be the second Swans game Ricardo has officiated, having took charge of Swansea's 1-0 win over Middlesbrough at the Swansea.com Stadium last term.

So far this season, he has overseen 14 fixtures across the EFL handing out 59 yellow cards and two red cards.

He will be assisted by Daniel Leach and Matthew McGrath. Oliver Langford will be the fourth official.

Remember the last time?

Stoke City 3 Swansea City 1

Swansea City fell to defeat despite taking the lead against Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.

After a forgettable first half with little in the way of goalmouth action, the visitors got their noses in front when Josh Tymon took advantage of a defensive slip to score against his old club.

But the Potters were level just a few minutes later as Wouter Burger headed home from a free-kick.

And another set-piece proved Swansea’s undoing when Bae Junho arrived in the box to convert, and Lewis Baker added insult to injury in stoppage time when he scored from just inside his own half.
