Preview | Swansea City U18s v Chelsea U18s

6th December
U18s team huddle 16x9

Swansea City Under-18s will be looking to move off the bottom of Premier League South when they face second-place Chelsea at Landore on Saturday (11am).

The young Swans are aiming to bounce back from their Premier League Cup defeat by Manchester City last time out – with the 5-0 reverse eliminating them from the competition.

With 11th-place Norwich not in action this weekend, Anthony Wright’s side would leapfrog the Canaries with a first league win in nine attempts.

This fixture could see striker Charlie Clancy line up against his former club, having spent seven years in the Blues’ academy before joining the Swans. The 18-year-old will be desperate to add to the three goals he has scored already this season.

However, the under-18s face a tough test against Chelsea, who are unbeaten in the league so far this term and will go top of the table with a win.

The Blues’ greatest threat is likely to come from 12-goal Albanian striker Armando Broja, who has scored 10 of his dozen goals in Premier League South, as well as featuring in Premier League 2 and the Leasing.com Trophy.
