Report | Cheltenham Town 2 Swansea City 1

Swansea City played out a defeat against Cheltenham Town as pre-season preparations continued at the EV Charger Points Stadium.
After a goalless opening half, Trialist B put the home side ahead early in the second half, but an own goal from an inviting Josh Tymon cross ensured the Swans quickly equalised.
But Lee Angol netted what proved to be the winner inside the final 10 minutes, as he found the net at the far post.
Goncalo Franco, Liam Cullen, Melker Widell and Bobby Wales all had chances for the visitors as a number of players got another 70 minutes under their belt.
A number of youngsters again had their chance to feature in the senior ranks, with Iestyn Jones enjoying his first senior minutes as a second-half substitute, as the Swans ended the game with eight players aged 23 and under on the pitch.
The Swans made a bright start, with nice touches from Ronald and Melker Widell allowing them to threaten the Cheltenham area.
Cullen had the first shot on target of the evening as his low effort was dragged in by Joe Day, after a good run and lay-off from Zeidane Inoussa.
Cullen was involved again in the 20th minute when he did well to win the ball back in his own half and Swansea broke rapidly through Widell.
The Swede had runners in support, but his final pass for Ronald had too much on it for the Brazilian to reach and Day was out quickly to gather.
Day then denied Widell after a terrific run and cross from Tymon had picked out the run of the midfielder, but his final shot was straight at the keeper.

Ronald overhit a pass to Inoussa having done well to beat his man in the middle of the pitch, while Widell produced lovely skill to surge into the area, but his final pass could not find another white shirt.
At the other end Tommy Backwell wasted a good chance for the hosts as he fired well over after a cutback had fallen to him just beyond the penalty spot.
The Swans then struck the woodwork courtesy of a full-blooded Franco volley that struck the top of the crossbar, and that came seconds after Inoussa had elected to try and set up Ronald when through on goal, with the Brazilian then being denied a shooting chance by a covering defender.
The Robins struck the woodwork shortly after the restart through Trialist B as his low shot from the edge of the box cannoned out of the post. But the home side regathered possession and the trialist finished the follow-up cross from close range at the near post.
However, Swansea were level inside a few minutes as Cameron Burgess picked out Tymon’s run, and the full-back’s cushioned cross was turned into his own net by a covering Cheltenham defender.
It was nearly 2-1 seconds later, Cullen winning the ball and heading goalwards, only to be denied by a good save from Mamadou Diallo.
Substitutes Wales fired over after terrific play from Franco had allowed Ronald the space to deliver an inviting cross to the young striker at the far post.
Instead it was Cheltenham who got a winner when a deep ball came through to Angol at the far post, and his low strike found the net.
