Swansea City Under-18s suffered defeat to Tottenham as four second-half goals gave the visitors the spoils at Landore.

The hosts were searching to build on the encouragement of victory over Southampton and a thrilling draw with Aston Villa.

And, to their credit, they matched their visitors – who finished second in Premier League South last season - during an opening half where striker Ali Al-Hamadi could not quite convert their best chance as keeper Kacper Kurylowicz denied the forward.

At the other end Swans keeper Lewis Webb had been relatively untroubled, but Spurs took the lead just two minutes into the second half as Chay Cooper finished from Kion Etete’s cross.

Ten minutes later and Etete doubled Tottenham’s lead from the spot after Tarrelle Whittaker had been fouled.

Things got worse for the Swans when Panashe Makokwe put through his own net, before Enock Asante added the fourth goal just a minute from time.

The Swans resume Premier League South action with a visit to Reading on Saturday, September 14.
