Ronald | Let's go and finish the season strongly
Ronald wants Swansea City to keep their foot on the gas all the way to the finish line of the Championship season, after the winger helped fire his side to a 2-1 win at Queens Park Rangers.
The Brazilian opened the scoring at MATRADE Loftus Road in just the second minute, taking full advantage after Jay Fulton's pass had got the better of two home defenders to net his fifth goal of the season.
A Zan Vipotnik penalty extended Swansea's lead late on, meaning Rhys Norrington-Davies' late strike was only a consolation for QPR.
It means Swansea recorded back-to-back away wins for the first time this season, and Ronald is looking forward to trying to extend that streak against Norwich City on Saturday.
"Of course we want to make sure we finish the season well," he said.
"We are in a good moment and the team is playing with confidence and winning games.
"We have two more games to go. We go to Norwich in Saturday and then finish off at home against Charlton.
"We believe we have the quality to win both games, so it's important we perform well to finish this season because that can help us to achieve the goals we have for next season."
Ronald received a great reception from the 800-plus travelling Jacks situated behind the goal at one end of Loftus Road as players and staff celebrated victory.
And the forward placed on record his gratitude to the fans for the backing they have given him and his teammates over the course of a typically gruelling campaign.
"They make me feel so confident, when I scored I could hear them cheering in the stands.," he said.
"I really enjoyed that moment, and the moment with the fans at the end. I am working, and we are all working, to give the club and the supporters our very best.
"It was lovely to share that moment with them and we thank them for all our support."
