Luke Moore celebrates alongside Wayne Routledge, Steven Caulker and Angel Rangel after scoring the goal which sealed one of Swansea City's most memorable results.

It was March 11, 2012, and the Swans were a team still coming to terms with life in the Premier League.

Opponents Manchester City, meantime, were top of the Premier League table and arrived at the Liberty Stadium with a team packed full of stellar names.

The likes of Yaya Toure, David Silva, Mario Balotelli, Samir Nasri and Sergio Aguero all featured in Roberto Mancini's side on a spring day in South Wales.

It seemed the Swans may have missed the chance to topple the leaders after Scott Sinclair's penalty was saved by Joe Hart.

But with just seven minutes remaining in a game where Brendan Rodgers's Swans were the better side, substitute Moore rose highest in the penalty area to nod home Routledge's sweet centre.

"I am very proud - it's a great day for Swansea City," Rodgers said. "I thought the best team won and the players deserve all the credit they will get."

This win took the Swans closer survival in their first Premier League season - something they eventually achieved with plenty to spare - while Manchester City ended up winning the title.
