Stats: Leicester v Swans

3rd February
First team

It is time for some statistics as we look ahead to Swansea City’s Premier League clash with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium this afternoon (3pm).

The Swans will be looking to make it three Premier League victories in a row following Tuesday’s impressive 3-1 win over Arsenal at the Liberty Stadium.

Leicester City

5 – Riyad Mahrez has been involved in five goals in his last five Premier League appearances against Swansea (four goals, one assist), scoring a hat-trick in the 3-0 win at the Liberty Stadium in December 2015.

8 – The Foxes have beaten Swansea in every Premier League encounter at the King Power Stadium, scoring eight goals to one across three games.

13 – Leicester are unbeaten in their last 13 home games against the Swans in all competitions. The last time they dropped points at home against Swansea was in a 1-1 draw in February 1980.

11 – Jamie Vardy leads the way for Leicester with 11 Premier League goals so far this campaign. The England striker has netted five in his last eight games in all competitions, with three of these goals coming from the penalty spot.

Swans

4 – Andre Ayew, who re-joined Swansea on transfer-deadline day from West Ham in a club-record deal, scored four goals in the final three games of his first spell with the Swans, back in May 2016.

7 – His brother, Jordan, has been involved in more Premier League goals than any other Swans player this season (five goals, two assists), with all seven of those goals coming in the second half of games.

10 – Tuesday’s victory over Arsenal saw the Swans win consecutive Premier League games for the first time this season. They have picked up 10 points from a possible 15 under Carlos Carvalhal (W3 D1 L1).

96 – Lukasz Fabianski’s impressive form means he continues to lead the way as the goalkeeper who has made the most saves in the Premier League, ahead of Manchester United’s David de Gea (85) and Leicester’s Kasper Schmeichel (78).

1950 – The last time the Swans beat Leicester City away from home was in 1950, when they notched up a 3-2 victory in Division Two. Swansea have never picked up a point against the Foxes at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League.
