Swans duo called up by Wales

Swansea City pair Connor Roberts and Declan John have been named in the Wales squad to face the Republic of Ireland and Denmark next month.

Right-back Roberts, who has two caps, and left-back John, a recent recruit from Rangers, are both in the party named by national manager Ryan Giggs today.

Wales face the Irish on September 6 before travelling to face Denmark three days later.

They include former Swans Ashley Williams, Ben Davies, Andy King and Joe Allen, but there is no place for Neil Taylor.
