Swans praised for supporters' Liberty experience

20th July

Swansea City has soared into the top 10 of the Premier League in terms of supporters' experience at the Liberty Stadium.
In their annual report, Visit Football rated the Swans as ninth best in the Premier League after five mystery supporter assessments throughout last season.
The latest assessment sees the Swans climb three places from 12th overall in season 2014-15 to ninth.

The Swans made their biggest improvement in regards to hospitality and accessibility for disabled supporters and the welcome fans receive at the Liberty.
With regards to hospitality, the club jumped seven places from 12th to fifth - one of the highest rises throughout the league. This was down to a complete overhaul in the way hospitality was delivered last season with the addition of guest speakers, corporate prizes, betting facilities and others additional benefits.
And without resting on its laurels, the club will be going one step further for the new campaign with complete rebranding of its packages that include substantial refurbishment of a number of its hospitality areas.

The club also made a major improvement in its disabled access; rising eight places from 12th to fourth. This, in part, was down to a new disabled ticketing system designed by the stadium and now implemented at the likes of Arsenal, Spurs, Barnsley and Middlesbrough.
Additionally, the home and away visitors' online video which incorporates all the provisions for disabled supporters has been given major recognition and is being used as a best practise guide for other clubs.
The biggest rise, however, came in the 'warmest welcome' category with the club climbing 11 places from 16th to fifth.
Overall, the club increased its ranking in all areas and received a positive report from Visit Football and the Premier League, whose aim is to work with clubs to ensure that supporter experiences continue to be enhanced and improved.

Of the five assessments last season, two were as a home supporter; one as a visiting fan; one accessibility visit and one hospitality customer.
The visits are all scored against previous visits to the club to see where areas have improved and the impact of changes implemented is having on its supporters.
Likewise, the end of season results that Visit Football issue to clubs can demonstrate the growth the club has made in relation to their Premier League counterparts.
