Swans spread their wings across the border

24th July

Swansea City will spread its wings over the border to England next month in a bid to help train the next generation of talent.
Run by trained coaches from the club, the Swans Development Soccer Camp aims to offer young footballers in Bristol the chance to develop their skills, learn new techniques and take in training with the Premier League club.
The Development Soccer Camp will run over five days, starting on Monday, August 4 at Clifton College Sports Ground.
Academy Manager Nigel Rees said: "This soccer camp is huge for us and an exciting opportunity to train the next generation of football talent.
"Demand from the public for us to host more camps means we have spread our growing wings a little wider this summer.
"It will give the community in Bristol the opportunity to access Premier League football on their doorstep with the chance to train and learn the techniques homegrown stars like Ben Davies did when rising through the Academy ranks with the Swans.
"Some of the best players who turn out over the week could even be taken on by our feeder development centres and one day feature for our Academy and even the first team."
The camp will run from 4-8 August (9am-2.30pm each day) and the cost is £15 per day and is for 7-12 year olds only.
