Fixture release 2025-26

For the second season running Swansea City will kick-off the Championship campaign with an away fixture against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.

The Swans travelled to Teesside on the opening weekend of the 2024-25 season, and the two clubs have been handed a repeat.

It marks the first time Swansea have been handed exactly the same opening fixture in consecutive EFL seasons.

They had previously faced Manchester United (2013 and 2014), Stockport (1986 and 1987) and Bradford Park Avenue (1967 and 1968) on back-to-back opening days, but those games were split between home and away fixtures.

The Swans are also away from home on the opening weekend for the 16th time in the last 19 seasons.

The Middlesbrough game will kick-off at 3pm at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday, August 9 as Swansea commence their first full season with head coach Alan Sheehan in charge.

The all-Welsh meetings against Wrexham – marking the first time the two clubs have faced each other in league action since the 2002-03 season – are scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 20 (home) and Saturday, March 14 (away).

The festive period sees a Boxing Day trip to Coventry City followed by a journey to the Kassam Stadium, before West Bromwich Albion come to the Swansea.com Stadium at the start of 2026.

Anyone wanting to guarantee their seat for all home fixtures for the 2025-26 campaign can still do so by purchasing a season ticket, with the general sale window ongoing.

Additionally, supporters can register their interest in a match-by-match hospitality pre-sale ahead of the new season.

The first home game of the season sees beaten play-off finalists Sheffield United visit the Swansea.com Stadium, with Watford heading to SA1 a week later. A trip to Hillsborough rounds off August.

September sees Hull City head to south Wales, before games against Birmingham City (away), Millwall (home) and Blackburn Rovers (away) complete that month’s assignments.

October starts with games against two of the teams relegated from the Premier League. Swansea host Leicester City before making the trip to the south coast to take on Southampton.

A home double header against Queens Park Rangers and Norwich City is next up, before November begins with a trip to the Valley to take on newly-promoted Charlton Athletic, which is quickly followed by the journey to Deepdale to face Preston North End.

A busy November is rounded off by a home meeting with Ipswich Town, the shortest away trip of the season to take on Bristol City, Derby County (home) and West Bromwich Albion (away).

The Swans host Oxford United and Portsmouth early in December before heading to the Potteries to face Stoke City.

Then comes that all-Welsh clash with Wrexham in SA1 which kicks off the run of festive and new year fixtures.

The first away trip of 2026 is to The Den to meet Millwall, with a home double header against Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers ahead of a pair of away games at Hull City and Watford making up the rest of the January schedule.

Three of the five games in February are on home turf – against Sheffield Wednesday, Bristol City and Preston North End – as part of a month also including visits to Derby County and Ipswich Town.

Stoke City head to the Swansea.com Stadium at the start of March, before the Swans hit the road for trips to Portsmouth and Wrexham, which are followed by the hosting of Coventry City.

April commences with the Easter fixtures against Sheffield United and Middlesbrough, with Southampton the only home game over the remainder of a month that also takes in trips to Leicester City, Queens Park Rangers and Norwich City; the latter being the last away fixture of the season.

The campaign rounds off on Saturday May 2 with a home game against Charlton Athletic. That game has been confirmed as a 12.30pm kick-off.
