Swansea City Ladies claimed the double over Aberystwyth Town Ladies with an impressive 2-0 victory at Baglan Boy's and Girl's Club on Sunday as they continue their chase of Cardiff Met for top spot in the Welsh Premier Women's League.
Facing the Seasiders for the second consecutive Sunday, the Swans took the lead after just four minutes with an excellent run from Emma Beynon to make it 1-0.
The Swans kept up the pressure with Katy Hosford demonstrating her attacking prowess to create a number of chances, including a tenth minute cross which found Beynon, who was denied her second by the crossbar.
At the other end, defenders Alicia Powe and Ria Hughes proved solid at the back to prevent the visitors from levelling.
The Swans Ladies soon add a second with an outstanding goal in the 26th minute from top scorer Jodie Passmore from outside the box.
An excellent attacking run from Hughes and a smooth pass from Beynon helped the Swans going forward, whilst a good cross from Swansea's Katie Davies reached Hosford only to be comfortably saved by Aberystwyth's keeper just before the break.

Swansea continued to apply pressure in the second half with a low shot from Katie Davies narrowly missing the right hand corner of the net.
Attempts from Sarah Adams and Kelly Newcombe were denied by the opposition's keeper, while Swansea's Powe and Lowri Ridings stopped Aberystwyth scoring at the other end.
Adams came close to extending the Swans lead before the final whistle with a powerful strike with Swansea securing a superb victory at Baglan.
"I think we played really well as a team, it was good to get the three points, and we kept the possession well. The subs that came on played really well, so we have a good team at the moment," said goal scorer Emma Beynon.
"I think we were more confident on the ball today which will be good for Tuesday's game."
