Swansea City U18s host Charlton this weekend

19th July

Swansea City Under-18s welcome Charlton Athletic to Landore on Saturday (2pm) aiming to record their third consecutive victory of pre-season.

Led by Anthony Wright and Alan Tate, the young Swans have made a promising start as they prepare for the new Premier League South campaign.

First, they earned a narrow 2-1 victory over Plymouth Argyle last weekend, with Charlie Clancy and new scholar Michael Murphy on target at Landore.

The Swans then scored three times in the last 15 minutes to run out commanding 4-1 winners over Exeter City on Wednesday.

They were pegged back just before half-time as a Louis Morison free-kick cancelled out Will Rickard’s earlier penalty.

However, an own-goal saw the Swans regain the initiative, before further strikes from Ali Al-Hamadi and Adnaan Moti put the game beyond the Devonians.

They will be eager to continue their good form on Saturday against Charlton, who finished sixth in the Professional Development League South last season.

The match kicks off at 2pm at Landore and entry is free.
