Swansea City Under-18s Arsenal Premier League

2nd October

Swansea City Under-18s face Arsenal in the Barclays Premier League at Landore Training Ground on Saturday morning (11am).
The Gunners lie fourth in the southern table after winning their last game 5-3 at home to rivals Spurs.
Meanwhile, Swansea's scholars will be looking to build on a series of positive performances, and coach Eric Ramsay has called on the young Swans to maintain their fighting spirit against the Gunners this weekend.
"Our performances have been pleasing in large spells of the last few games," he said. "We have matched the opposition over the last few weeks but key moments of the game have not gone our way.
"We have been punished for individual errors which will happen at this level, but we have to learn from them.
"It is frustrating that we have not always got what we deserve but we will keep fighting and continue to develop to get results on and off the field.
"We are progressing every week we play at this level and we must make sure that fight continues on Saturday against Arsenal. They are a very good side and it will be another tough test, but we relish these opportunities."
The Swans welcome back defender Connor Quigley to the squad but will be without centre-back Daniel Jefferies after he broke his metatarsal in the loss at Aston Villa.
And despite some players still missing through injury, Ramsay believes the squad will have more depth this weekend.
"We have more players available to us this weekend," he added. "We are looking forward to welcoming back Connor into our defence this weekend. He had an excellent pre-season but has been kept frustrated by injury and awaiting international clearance - but we are looking forward to having him apart of the squad going forward."

Swans U18 squad: Lewis Thomas, Alex Lang, Ben Jones, Ben Morgan, Aaron Lewis, Connor Quigley, Matt Blake, Causso Darame, Mael Davies, Jack Watts, Thomas Dyson, Jordan Jones, Liam Edwards, Jack Evans, Keiran Evans, Brandon Griffiths, Sean Hanbury.

The Under-18s face Arsenal at Landore Training Ground this Saturday (October 3) at 11am. Entry is free but there is no parking at the Landore facility.
