Swansea City Under-18s Norwich Premier League South

12th September

Swansea City Under-18s came from a goal down to earn their first point of the campaign thanks to a 1-1 draw at Norwich.
A young Swans side - missing five key players - defended well in the first-half to soak-up a number of chances from the home team.
Swans keeper Lewis Thomas pulled off three saves from the Canaries attack to keep the score level while Keiran Evans rifled a shot narrowly over the Norwich crossbar.
Both sides continued the midfield battle after the restart only for the home side break the deadlock on 71 minutes when striker Benny Ashley-Seal slotted under Thomas from the edge of the area.
Swansea continued to attack down the flanks and equalised five minutes later when full-back Mael Davies burst through the midfield to fire low into the bottom corner.
The U18s continued to fight and could have snatched a late winner through substitute Causso Darame, only for the winger's shot to be well saved by the Norwich keeper.
The result sees the U18s win their first point in the Premier League South Division since moving up to category one football.
