Swansea City will wait to discover the extent of Ben Cabango’s hamstring injury after the defender was a late withdrawal from the side to face Brentford.

The Wales international had been named in the starting line-up to face the Bees, but felt his hamstring during the warm-up.

That saw Kyle Naughton come into the side, with Joel Latibeaudiere promoted to the bench as the Swans secured a 1-1 draw to extend their unbeaten away record.

The Swans face Norwich at Carrow Road on Saturday, but head coach Steve Cooper says it is too early to know whether Cabango will be available for that final fixture before the international break.

"Ben felt his hamstring, whether he has pulled it or injured it, we are not sure," said the Swansea boss.

"He did the right thing in notifying the medical team right away, we made the right decision for him not to start the game.

"It allowed us to put Naughts in the starting line-up, and he only wasn’t playing as we are trying to manage people as best we can.

"Joel could then go on the bench, and we had cover there if something else had happened during the game.

"We don’t know the extent of it, but we managed the team well and it did not affect our performance.

"Fingers crossed it’s not too bad for Ben, but it’s too early to say at the moment."
