U18s beat high-flying Terriers
A spirited effort from Swansea City Under-18s saw them end Huddersfield Town's 10-game unbeaten run on Saturday, Nov 9.
The young Swans ran out 2-1 victors at home to Huddersfield in the Professional Development League 2, courtesy of goals from Kyle Copp and Luke Llewellyn.
Having gone a goal down, Copp hit home a delightful free-kick to get the young Swans back on terms, before Llewellyn sealed the win by converting from a corner.
Prior to Saturday's defeat, the visiting side had nine wins and one draw from their ten league games this season, sitting them on top of the Professional Development League 2 Northern section.
Academy manager Tony Pennock says he was delighted with his players' show of character after conceding early on.
"The boys showed a lot of character and desire to come back from a goal down," said Pennock. "All of the staff are pleased with them, especially to see how they coped with Huddersfield's direct style of play."
