U18s match against Leicester postponed

1st February

Swansea City Under-18s have seen Saturday's Premier League South match against Leicester City called off due to a frozen pitch.

The decision was taken on Friday morning by Premier League officials that the pitch conditions were too hard from the frozen weather to play this Saturday morning.

The game will now be rearranged for later in the season with the under-16's fixture between the two sides still going ahead at midday on the 3G pitch.

The academy Swans are eleventh in the table with eight points from two wins and a draws, while the Foxes sit seventh with 20 points from six wins and two draws.

The young Swans have not tasted league victory since securing a 2-1 away win against Brighton in November.

Luke Thomas’ penalty gave Leicester a 1-0 victory the last time the sides met in September.
