Nathan Dyer concedes Swansea City have two “cup finals” ahead as they look to retain their Premier League status.

Carlos Carvalhal’s side sit third-bottom on goal difference after their painful 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth coupled with Southampton's draw at Everton.

There are just two fixtures remaining in the 2017-18 campaign, with both coming at the Liberty Stadium.

In what promises to be a nerve-wracking finish to the relegation scrap, the Swans host Dyer’s former club Southampton on Tuesday night before welcoming already-relegated Stoke City on Sunday.

And Dyer believes the Swans must stand up and be counted in the season's final week.

“We have two cup finals left and we need to give everything,” said the 30-year-old.

“We must pick ourselves up after the Bournemouth loss and do what we need to do.

“It’s the definitive week of the season and we have to deliver – it’s as simple as that.

“We will have everyone behind us and we are at home for both games, so it’s in our hands.”
