"We need to turn performances into points"

Graham Potter wants Swansea City to start turning positive performances into points as they head to face Nottingham Forest on Saturday (3pm).

The Swans head to the City Ground on the back of three defeats, but the results against Norwich, West Brom and Manchester City do not tell the full story of the manner of their displays in those fixtures.

Manager Potter admits he has been pleased with the way his team have played in recent games, having showcased the ongoing improvement in their passing, possession game against sides at the top end of the Championship and the Premier League respectively.

But, with his side 10 points off the play-offs with 10 games to go, he wants to see them start to pick up tangible rewards for their efforts.

"I think we have been performing well, and in terms of how we have trained the boys have been in good spirits, the mood has been good and it has been of a high quality," he said.

"Obviously when you lose games it is not always like that, so it is testament to the players and their understanding of what we are trying to do.

"I feel we have made some progress, we have had three defeats but the performances have been good.

"The challenge for us is to turn those performances into results. We are not naive and we know we have to do that.

"That's where we are at, but there have been some positive signs.

"It's going to be an intense period coming up, 10 games in six weeks, but we cannot worry too much about what might happen in six weeks time, we have to focus on the here and now."
