Youth book final spot

21st March

Swans Under-19s booked their place in the FAW Youth Cup Final for the sixth consecutive season after beating Carmarthen Town 3-0 on Wednesday night.
It took an improved second-half from the defending champions, who went into the break 0-0 at Stebonheath Park, to see off Carmarthen.
The young Swans were without defender Scott Tancock, who was away with Wales Under-21s, and midfielder Josh Sheehan, who has trained with the first team this week.
Following a low-key first half, the holders raised their game after the break.
Defender Thomas Atyeo scrambled home the first goal following a corner before Alex Samuel doubled the lead shortly after.
Samuel then rounded off the scoring following a neat passage of play involving himself and substitutes Kyle Copp and Alex Bray.
The Swans await the winners of the remaining semi-final, which sees West End face Cambrian & Clydach Vale in Merthyr on Sunday.
Academy Manager Tony Pennock was pleased with the second-half performance of his side which helped secure their spot in the final.
"We were lacklustre in the first half and the boys knew they needed to pass the ball around a lot quicker, which we did in the second half," said Academy Manager Tony Pennock.
"The introduction of Kyle Copp and Alex Bray played a big part in that - they helped raise the intensity against a Carmarthen side that was fully committed and well organised.
"We are delighted to reach our sixth consecutive final, and we now look forward to seeing who we will face."
