The 18-year-old midfielder has been with the Swans since the age of seven.

The midfielder put pen to paper on his first professional contract in June 2022, and has since extended terms to the end of June 2026.

The Wales age-grade international was named among the substitutes for the home fixtures against Bournemouth and Queens Park Rangers towards the end of the 2021-22 season, having been a stand-out performer for the under-18s and under-23s in recent campaigns.

Cotterill made his senior debut for the club in August 2022, coming on as a substitute against Oxford United in the Carabao Cup.

At the club's 2022-23 awards dinner, the youngster picked up Academy Player of the Year after a brilliant season with the Under-21s.

He has joined Stockport County on loan for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
