Joel Ward signed for the Swans in January 2026, signing a deal through to the end of the 2025-26 campaign.
The 36-year-old was signed with the aim of providing the Swans with an additional option across defensive positions, including right-back.
Ward joined Swansea having spent 13 seasons with Crystal Palace, establishing himself as a fan favourite and cult hero across his time at Selhurst Park.
He rounded off his time with the Eagles, where he played alongside former Swan Marc Guehi, by winning the FA Cup - the club’s first major honour - with victory over Manchester City at Wembley.
An academy graduate at Portsmouth, Ward also had a spell on loan with Bournemouth before making 363 Palace appearances, with over 300 of those coming in the Premier League.
