Premier League Inspires
Young people today face a variety of ever-growing challenges, with more than ever experiencing mental health issues. Teachers and practitioners in secondary schools and the education sector face multiple pressures and each school has differing priorities, including in approach to pastoral care, behaviour management and emotional support.
Our aim is to use the power of Swansea City AFC as a positive force to inspire pupils to develop the personal skills and positive attitudes to succeed in life. We support 11-18 year-olds who are marginalised, vulnerable or at risk of not reaching their potential; supporting them as they move through the education system and early adulthood.
Our Premier League Inspires programmes use the power of football to support young people to build resilience, learn new skills, develop positive attitudes and empower them to strive for a successful future. The project encourages young people to re-engage with education and helps schools keep pupils present and committed.
