Goalkeeper Mark Birighitti has left Swansea City to join Dutch side NAC Breda on a free transfer.

The one-cap Australian international joined the Swans on a free transfer last summer following his release from Newcastle Jets.

The 26-year-old failed to break into the Swans’ first team, though he did feature seven times for the club’s under-23s side last season.

Birighitti now heads to Holland’s top flight with NAC Breda, who have drawn one and lost two of their opening three league games, on a two-year deal with the option of a third in a deal which includes additional clauses.

Everyone at Swansea City would like to thank Mark for his service to the club, and wish him well in his career.
