Dyer: Momentum was key

Nathan Dyer says momentum played a crucial role in Sunday's win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
The Swans took less than two minutes to open the scoring as Michu slammed home from just inside the box.
Dyer doubled the lead just moments after the break as Michael Laudrup's men capped a fine week.
It began with a hard-fought draw against Liverpool before last Thursday's superb win away at Valencia in the Europa League.
And Dyer was pleased to see his team-mates continue their unbeaten run that now stretches to four games in all competitions.



"It was a good performance from the boys," he said. "Crystal Palace are a good side and they threw a lot at us so we had to work hard for the win and it was a strong performance in the end.
"We had a lot of chances, and fortunately we were able to take a couple. But we were still on a high from beating Valencia and we carried that into today's game.
"It's only going to get harder from here on in but we have a good squad of players and lots of strength in depth so we're well prepared. If players can't play then we have others that can come in and do a great job.
"We have another game on Wednesday in the Capital One Cup so we'll go again. Every competition is high on our priority list. We want to win the game and go as far as we can."
It proved to be a comfortable afternoon for Michael Laudrup's side, who climbed to ninth in the table following the win.
They were handed a dream start as Michu put the Swans ahead early on with his third goal in a week and fifth in ten games.
Dyer then helped himself to his first goal of the campaign after being teed up by debutant Alvaro Vazquez, and the winger paid tribute to the Spanish duo at the final whistle.
"I think I was just in the right place at the right time," he said. "Alvaro played it back to me and I just went for the side-foot finish.
"It was his (Vazquez) first game today and I thought he slotted in well. His philosophy of football is the same as ours and he looked sharp.
"Michu is obviously a massive player for us. He's a goalscorer and we had Wilfried (Bony) on the bench as well so we now have some great attacking options."
