FULL-TIME: Swans 0 Chelsea 0

23rd January

Swansea City are going to Wembley after they clinched their place in the Capital One Cup final following a 2-0 aggregate victory over European champions Chelsea.
A 0-0 scoreline at the Liberty was enough to ensure Michael Laudrup's side booked a spot in the final to face League Two side Bradford City on February 24.
This was yet another new chapter inscribed into the club's history books - the first time the Swans had reached a first major final.
The scenes at the Liberty were unforgettable as a fully-charged up Jack Army roared Ashley Williams and Co on.
This was a second leg that was full of drama.
The Swans saw Michu test Petr Cech in the first half while Leon Britton cleared Gary Cahill's header two yards from the Swans goal-line.
Demba Ba went close in the second half on a couple of occasions while Gerhard Tremmel pulled off a magnificent save low down to deny Juan Mata.
Then came the controversy - Eden Hazard being shown red in the 80th minute after an incident off the pitch with a ball boy.
But the Swans still needed to hold off a late Chelsea fightback, though Ki and Nathan Dyer went close to winning the game on the night.
That mattered little, as referee Chris Foy's final whistle meant Swansea City - a team battling to maintain its Football League status ten years ago - were in the Capital One Cup final.
Tense, dramatic and emotional. It all came on this night.
More of that is surely to follow at Wembley in month's time.

Michael Laudrup made three changes. Gerhard Tremmel, who has featured in every game of the tournament so far, returned between the sticks in place of Michel Vorm, who dropped to the bench.
Chico Flores returned from the ankle injury that ruled him out of the win over Stoke while Leon Britton was back in midfield, which meant Michu starts up front.

Swans: Gerhard Tremmel, Angel Rangel, Chico Flores, Ashley Williams (capt), Ben Davies, Leon Britton, Ki Sung-Yueng, Jonathan de Guzman, Pablo Hernandez, Wayne Routledge (Nathan Dyer, 65), Michu.
Subs: Michel Vorm, Dwight Tiendalli, Garry Monk, Itay Shechter, Roland Lamah, Danny Graham.

Chelsea: Petr Cech, Branislav Ivanovic (David Luiz, 68), Ashley Cole (Ryan Bertrand, 86), Ramires, Frank Lampard (capt), Juan Mata, Oscar, Eden Hazard (Fernando Torres, 82), Gary Cahill, Cesar Azpilicueta, Demba Ba.
Subs: Ross Turnbull, Paulo Ferreira, Marko Marin, John Terry.

At a fully-charged Liberty Stadium, it was the Swans who posed the first threat.
Angel Rangel raced on and touched to Jonathan de Guzman, whose fine cross found Wayne Routledge, but his goalbound volley was blocked by Cesar Azpilicueta for a corner.
Another came moments later in the ninth minute, Routledge threading through a pass for Michu, but the Spaniard was denied low down by Petr Cech.
Then de Guzman saw his shot from just inside the Chelsea box blocked as the Swans continued their positive start.
Chelsea responded via Ashley Cole, who broke into the box before squaring his cross along the face of goal, but Ashley Williams was alert to block it out for a corner.
From the resulting delivery, Gary Cahill climbed highest to meet the header, but Leon Britton cleared the danger two yards from his own goal.
Ramires then tested Gerhard Tremmel from 25 yards, but the German stopper got down low to gather.
Williams then did well to block out Oscar after the Brazilian had worked himself into space before he was about to pull the trigger as Chelsea started to probe more.
Ba then fired over after the Swans defence failed to clear properly from a Cole cross into the box in what was the last action of the half.

The visitors needed a bright start, and Ba curled an effort a yard wide of the far post with five minutes of the half gone.
Both sides cancelled each other out, and Michael Laudrup made his first change after 65 minutes with Nathan Dyer replacing Routledge, before Rafa Benitez sent David Luiz on for Branislav Ivanovic.
Tremmel needed a superb reaction to save low down following Juan Mata's powerfully-hit shot before the visitors were reduced to ten men.
Eden Hazard was shown a straight red card after he was involved in an off-the-pitch incident with a ball boy.
Benitez then made another change as Fernando Torres replaced Oscar as the atmosphere raised a notch going into the the last ten minutes.
The Swans then went close to taking the lead, Ki racing on and finding Hernandez to his left, but the Spaniard couldn't beat Petr Cech with his angled drive.
The minutes were ticking down, and six minutes of added on time was to follow.
Dyer almost put the icing on the cake, his curling effort kept out by the stretched hand of Cech.
But the Swans had done enough to take the club to Wembley to its first major cup final.
"Que Sera Sera, Whatever will be will be, we're going to Wembley, Que Sera Sera," sang the Jack Army.
Wembley awaits. And so too do Bradford City.
The Swans had created another chapter in the club's history books.
And they will look to write one more chapter on February 24.
