Jack Mag's hands-on interview with Nordfeldt

25th August

Swans new boy Kristoffer Nordfeldt goes under the spotlight in tonight's Jack Magazine as Garry Monk's side host York City in the Capital One Cup at the Liberty Stadium (7.45pm).
In his first interview with Swansea City's official matchday magazine - available tonight for just £1 - the Swedish international goalkeeper discusses his teenage transition from striker to stopper, his aim of helping the Swans win silverware this season and competition for places.
"I didn't come here to sit on the bench, but I know it's going to take some time to adjust to English football and also to the way the gaffer wants to play football as well," says Nordfeldt, speaking to Jack Magazine ahead of this evening's second round tie.
"It's up to the gaffer who plays. If I play, I would like to prove myself and show what I can do.
"I have patience. Of course, any footballer is not happy to be on the bench, but I respect his decision because that's his job.
"There is a lot of competition here. But when I spoke to the gaffer at the time when I signed for the club, I told him that I needed to get out of my comfort zone a bit."
"During the last couple of years I knew I would be the first-choice goalkeeper at my old club - I more or less knew that I would be playing every week.
"The difference here is that I need to fight for my place, which in the long run is good for me and also for Swansea."

Meanwhile in tonight's Jack Magazine, we preview tonight's opponents in detail, providing insight into the Minstermen's history, likely tactics and key men to watch, from the man in between the sticks, to the captain and star man.
We also round-up the results from the first round of this season's Capital One Cup as the Swans aim to repeat their success of the 2012-13 campaign.
Jack Magazine will available from around the Liberty Stadium, the Club Shop and online.
