Jordan: Fans can be key

Jordan Ayew believes the support of the Jack Army will be crucial when Swansea City take on Southampton in a scrap for Premier League survival on Tuesday night.

The Saints climbed out of the bottom three at the Swans' expense courtesy of their 1-1 draw at Everton over the weekend.

But with champions Manchester City to come at St Mary's on the final day, Southampton boss Mark Hughes has suggested that their trip to the Liberty will be the key to deciding who stays up.

The Swans have only lost two Premier League home games under Carlos Carvalhal, against Spurs and Chelsea.

And Ayew hopes the Swans' prowess on their own patch will be key in the battle to secure their top-flight status.

“Time is running out,” he tells Tuesday night’s Jack Magazine.

“But we are confident when we play at home. With the support of the fans, we can beat any team.

“We’re not scared of anyone and we can get a lot of points at home.

“We know that we have two more tough games, but we can only take one at a time.

“Everything is in our hands and we need to win the games.”
