Liam Cullen signs Swansea City contract extension

29th January

In-form striker Liam Cullen has put pen to paper on a contract extension with Swansea City.

The Tenby-born forward’s previous deal had been due to expire at the end of June, but he has signed a new contract through to the summer of 2022.

The 20-year-old has been red hot in front of goal this term, and already has 17 goals to his name.

Ten of those have come in January alone, including all four in Monday’s 4-0 win over Everton for the club’s under-23s.

Cullen, who has been part of the Swans academy set-up since he was eight, was just 13 when he made his debut for the under-18s, and made his first-team bow against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup in August 2018.
