Barrie McKay's Fleetwood Town are just three points off the League One automatic spots following a 0-0 draw with Blackpool.

McKay made his seventh appearance for Joey Barton's side, who are now 11 unbeaten in the third tier.

The Scottish midfielder featured for 86 minutes before being replaced by Jack Sowerby.

Fleetwood travel to fellow promotion rivals on Tuesday night.

There were mixed fortunes in the Dutch Eredivisie for Kristoffer Peterson and Joel Asoro.

Peterson came off the bench as FC Utrecht thumped Sparta Rotterdam 5-1, while Asoro started in FC Groningen's 1-0 loss to VVV Venlo.

Peterson was introduced for the final 20 minutes to make his sixth appearance for Utrecht as they moved to within eight-points off fourth-placed PSV Eindhoven, with a game in hand.

In the National Conference, Brandon Cooper was a late substitute as Yeovil Town won 1-0 at Dover Town as the Glovers moved up to third in the table.

Joe Lewis, meanwhile, made his 28th appearance for Torquay United in their 2-0 loss at Sutton United.

Cameron Berry played all 90 minutes as Kristian O'Leary's Carmarthen Town were beaten 3-1 at home by Airbus.

Finally, Jefferson Montero (Birmingham City), Declan John (Sunderland) and Jack Evans (Mansfield Town) didn't feature for their loan clubs.
