Jefferson Montero made a winning West Brom debut at the weekend.

The Ecuadorian, who joined the Baggies on loan during transfer deadline day, came off the bench for the final 16 minutes in the 1-0 victory at Stoke City in the Championship.

The win moved West Brom to within five points of the automatic places, with a game in hand over second-placed Leeds United.

In League One, Aaron Lewis made his second consecutive start for Doncaster in their 3-1 home victory against Peterborough.

Lewis played for an hour before being replaced as Doncaster replaced Posh in the play-off spots.

In Turkey, Andre Ayew started as Fenerbahce went down to a disappointing 1-0 defeat at Kayserispor.

The Ghanaian played for 83 minutes as the visitors, who finished the game with nine men, dropped to within five points of the relegation zone.

Jordan Ayew was an unused sub as Crystal Palace came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with West Ham at Selhurst Park.

Wilfried Bony will look to make his Al-Arabi debut on Thursday when they take on Al-Rayyan in the Qatar Stars League.

Meanwhile, Ryan Blair (Dunfermline) and Botti Biabi (Mansfield) didn't feature for their clubs at the weekend while Borja's Alaves host Levante tonight.
