Borja was involved in a six-goal thriller on the weekend as Malaga picked up their first point of the season against Athletic Bilbao.

They had to do it the hard way though as they fell behind to a fourth-minute penalty.

Despite equalising and going into the break on level terms, Malaga then fell behind again before being reduced to ten men a minute later.

Bilbao took a big step towards sealing victory when they doubled their lead with 20 minutes left, but Malaga struck twice in three minutes late on to get off the mark at the sixth attempt.

Staying in La Liga, Jefferson Montero watched on from the bench as Getafe earned their first home win of the season over his former club Villarreal.

Montero was an unused sub in the 4-0 victory, but he did make his debut earlier in the week during a 1-1 draw at Celta Vigo.

The Ecuadorian winger was introduced for the final 15 minutes, with Getafe scoring a late equaliser.

Jordi Amat's Real Betis secured a memorable 1-0 victory over Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in midweek, though the centre-back was among the unused subs.

He is hoping to feature tonight as Betis host Levante as they look to continue their perfect home record.

Matt Grimes made his eighth appearance of the season for Northampton, who suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Bradford in League One.

Grimes played the full 90 minutes for the Cobblers, who visit MK Dons on Tuesday night.

Connor Roberts wasn't part of Middlesbrough's matchday squad for their 1-1 draw at Fulham, though he did start in the midweek Carabao Cup win at Aston Villa.

He played the full game and put in an impressive display for Garry Monk's side, who face a trip to Bournemouth in the next round.

Keston Davies, meanwhile, was an unused sub as Yeovil were held 1-1 by Port Vale on Saturday.
